Shhhhhhh... It's a secret.

At one point or another we have all been charged with the responsibility of keeping a secret. Some of us fail miserably and some of us are still holding our peace. Fortunately, there is always another chance to prove one's self as a master secret keeper, and this is one of those chances. Below are a few tips to help us all keep this mission confidential.
  • Don't change your routine. If you haven't talked to her in a month of Sunday's or longer don't pick up the phone and call her now "just because". That will surely send up a red flag once she hears from the 4th or 5th long lost friend.
  • Don't even talk about it. Don't ask her if she is thinking of buying a car or if she saw the sale in the paper. The less you talk about it the easier not to tell.
  • Don't hint that you have a secret or know something special is going to happen. Unless you are a known clairvoyant, she will surely become angry if you don't tell her what you know.
  • If all else fails lie. This is a last resort of course, but if you just can't get past it lie instead of divulging the secret. You can always apologize later.
